Each one is a purpose-built view inside Delos, tuned to the specific conditions and data availability of that place. These are not separate tools. They are the same instrument, pointed at six different problems.

Texas Colonias

the gap

Colonias along the Rio Grande are unincorporated, which means flood exposure there is often outside the boundary of any authority that would install a gauge. A satellite records the water. The ground record stays empty.

The result is that recurrence is invisible. Nobody upstream knows a place floods repeatedly, because repeatedly is a number that was never written down.

Puerto Rico

Post-storm recovery is uneven in ways that aggregate reporting flattens. Two municipalities can appear equally restored in a summary and be months apart in practice.

Radar backscatter and night-time activity carry a usable signal about where recovery has actually reached, at a resolution finer than the reporting that currently describes it.

Mississippi Delta

Flood risk, land subsidence, and distance to care compound each other in the Delta, but they are measured by three different systems that do not read each other.

Looking at them in one frame changes which places look worst. That reordering is the finding, and it is not visible in any single dataset.

Appalachia

Legacy extraction leaves a long physical signature: altered terrain, altered drainage, altered water. Much of it sits in places with thin broadband coverage, which is also where reporting a problem is hardest.

The overlap between where the physical record shows impact and where the connectivity record shows absence is a specific, mappable thing.

India (agricultural belts)

Groundwater depletion across the northern agricultural belts is among the most clearly measured signals available from orbit, and among the least translated into anything a grower can act on in a given season.

The distance here is not measurement. It is delivery, in the right language, at the right point in the calendar.
